Sneijder’s farewell

Dutch midfielder Wesli Sneijder has farewelled Dutch national team after 15 years as the absolute protagonist of the “tulips”.

133 challenge with the orange shirt and 31 goals scored, but there is a day that even big footballers have to leave, Sneijder was one of them. He left today with his head up after giving the maximum to his country.

In today’s challenge to Peru, the 34-year-old retained the captain’s cap, while in the 62nd minute he left the field of play between applause and tears. This was the last time he would wear the Dutch national shirt.
