After over a decade of success with Eintracht Frankfurt, forward Alex Meier revealed he would consider a move to North America if a Major League Soccer team was interested in his services.

Meier – under contract until 2018 – has yet to hear from an MLS club, but insisted he would evaluate potential offers.

“I would listen to everything and then make a decision,” Meier said in an interview with Sport Bild, according to Stephan Uersfeld of ESPNFC.

Two years removed from leading the Bundesliga in scoring, Meier has struggled with poor form while tallying just four goals in 14 league appearances.

Though he remains focused on his duties at Frankfurt, Meier, 34, spoke of fulfilling his “dream” if an offer was submitted.

“If something exciting comes up, and I can fulfill my dream, I’d talk about it with the Frankfurt hierarchy,” Meier said, adding that currently there is nothing he has to consider and thus remains fully focused on Frankfurt.

Meier has made over 300 appearances for Frankfurt since joining the club in 2004. His best season came during the 2014-15 campaign when he led all Bundesliga scorers with 19 goals.
